Meghalaya Governor tests negative for COVID-19

Governor Satya Pal Malik has tested negative for COVID-19.

A statement issued by the Raj Bhavan on Monday informed that Malik had undergone RTPCR test in New Delhi on Sunday.

“We are happy to inform that his (governor) test results are negative and he is fine and in good health. He has been in New Delhi since May 26  and there were some worries in Raj Bhavan as many of Raj Bhavan staff in the  personal and daily service of Hon’ble Governor had been reported positive,” it said.

However with Governor reporting negative in RTPCR test Raj Bhavan officers and staff heave a sigh of relief.

Meanwhile, the Governor has wished speedy recovery to all the 43 COVID-19 positive staff and family members .
