Meghalaya Governor tests negative for COVID-19 again
Governor, Satya Pal Malik along with his personal staff and ADCs have again tested negative for COVID-19.
The Governor had again tested negative after being tested for COVID-19 upon his return from New Delhi on September 29, where he had been to meet Hon’ble President of India and other engagements from September 22 to 28, Secretary to the Governor, Pravin Bakshi said in a statement on Thursday.
He also informed that the number of positive cases in Raj Bhavan have come down to 15 out of which almost all are such who have put in 14 days of quarantine and issued discharge certificate with home isolation advisory for 7 days .
“They are all asymptomatic and doing fine,” Bakshi said while informing that the containment zone order of Raj Bhavan quarters was also lifted on September 27, barring 4 micro containment houses of positive cases with earlier mild symptoms or repeat positive tests.
“On behalf of Raj Bhavan, I express my sincere gratitude to the State Government, Health Department, District Administration and District Police for their support and cooperation during this difficult period,” he said.
He said special gratitude also goes to the Chief Minister for Chief Minister Ration Package for quarantine which was a big support to the quarantined families. He said the Raj Bhavan also thank the Health Minister, A L Hek for his personal care and supervision of the arrangements during the period of containment in Raj Bhavan and other times too .
