Meghalaya Governor visits Durga Temple and Monoliths in Nartiang
Governor of Meghalaya, Phagu Chauhan visited Nartiang’s famed Durga temple on Thursday.
He was welcomed by the Deputy Commissioner West Jaintia Hills District, BS Sohliya and Superintendent of Police West Jaintia Hills District, Bikram D Marak, other representatives of the District Administration and Police, representatives of the temple and the local durbar and residents, other District Officials from various departments and students of Ram Krishna Mission Secondary School with a guard of honour.
After visiting the temple, Phagu Chauhan went to pay a visit to the Garden of Monoliths of the same village. He then proceeded to the Soil and Water Conservation Rest House in Jowai for lunch and interacted with District Officials.
