Meghalaya Govt appointed Saikia as Deputy Chairman of MMDC

The Meghalaya Government appointed Bimal Saikia as Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Meghalaya Mineral Development Corporation Limited with perks and facilities under category ‘B’ with effect from the date of taking over charge and until further order.

The appointment was notified vide notification No. MG.24/93/Part-V1/403 dated 9th November, 2023 in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 62 of the Articles of Association of the Meghalaya Mineral Development Corporation Limited.

Meanwhile way back in 2018, the Government had appointed Bimal Saikia as the Deputy Chairman, Meghalaya State Planning Board under Category “B” with perks and facilities with effect from the date of assumption of charge.

The appointment was through notification Dated Shillong the 14th December, 2018 and vide No.PLA.14/2018/PL.1/24.

The Government also appointed Kotdor Warjri as Executive Member/Director of the Board of Directors of the Meghalaya Mineral Development Corporation Limited with perks and facilities under category “B’ with effect from the date of taking over charge and until further order.

His appointment was notified through notification No. MG.24/93/Part-VI/404 dated 9th November 2023 in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 62 of the Articles of Association of the Meghalaya Mineral Development Corporation Limited.
