Meghalaya Govt approves MCT procedures

The state Cabinet on Friday approved the motor accident tribunal (MCT) procedures.

“The procedures will now be in place henceforth,” Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong told reporters after the meeting.

He said the decision was taken based on the directives of the Supreme Court and Delhi High Court to all states in the country.

According to him, a tribunal is already in place for taking up and resolving motor accident related cases.
