Meghalaya Govt arrange transportation to citizens for travelling outside the state

The state government has constituted a dedicated team to arrange transportation for people who are planning to travel outside the state for medical check-ups or any other purposes.

“We have notified a dedicated team for transportation arrangement on payment basis for citizens who are planning to go out of the state for medical purposes and others,” Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong told reporters after a review meeting held on Monday.

He said such citizens can contact the team comprising of the district transport officer (DTO) Shillong (8787561584), DTO Tura (7005531765), Inspector of MVI (8787761147) and Enforcement Tura (9774706399).

“The decision was taken in view of the fact that the inter-state movement is still not allowed,” Tynsong added.
