Meghalaya Govt employees leaves office early on Friday & arrive late on Monday
The Deputy Commissioner South Garo Hills District has warned the outstation officers and other government employees against the practice of leaving office early on Friday and arriving late in office on Monday.
According to the order, the Deputy Commissioner said that it has come to his notice that the some officers and staff of the District Heads Offices are not punctual in office attendance because of which there is a growing resentment among general public.
There is also a growing tendency on the part of the Officer and staff specially outstation officers and staff to leave early on Friday and late on Monday, said the order.
The Deputy Commissioner said as a disciplined Government Servant, all Officers and staff are required to maintain absolute devotion to duty and act as a role model to others.
The order read all Officers and staff are hereby directed to maintain office discipline, maintain good conduct and discharge their office duties with sincerity.
All the officers and staff are hereby directed to be available in Office to meet public and perform their duties during office hours and to detail their next immediate officer/staff to perform all the office works/duties in case of any leave or emergency.
Specific time to meet public along with key contacts must also be displayed prominently in all offices.
