Meghalaya: Govt exercising mind on opening of Iewduh & Khyndailad
The state government will soon take a call on the request of re-opening the two major commercial hubs in the capital city.
After a review meeting on Saturday, Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong told reporters that the government has been receiving a lot of requests for re-opening of Iewduh and Khyndailad (Police Bazar).
In view of this, Tynsong said the government has directed the chief secretary MS Rao and deputy commissioner of East Khasi Hills District Matsiewdor War Nongbri to workout on the modalities for re-opening of the two major commercial hubs.
“We have asked them to come back to the government on Monday and decision will accordingly be taken,” said the deputy CM.
