Meghalaya Govt imposed more restrictions to contain COVID-19
Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Wednesday informed that the Government has decided to make certain restrictions in East Khasi Hills District in view of the rising COVID-19 cases in the Shillong agglomeration.
Here are the following restriction in Shillong agglomeration:
RT-PCR test mandatory in entry points for entrants. Those who have completed both doses of the Covid vaccine may show the certificate at the entry point.
Tourist Spots in East Khasi Hills will be shut till 30th April, 2021
Colleges and Universities in Shillong will be closed up to 3rd May 2021 except colleges who are exam centres are exempted. Online classes held from the College premises will be permitted.
Gyms, Clubs, Swimming pools, Gaming Parlours, Cinemas, Salons, Bars will be shut from 23rd till 30th April, 2021
Non Essential Shops will be closed from 26th to 2nd May. Details of the same will be shared by the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills.
Government offices will operate with 33% strength.
“We stress again on the need for all citizens to not let their guards down. Please limit unnecessary traveling and avoid crowded spaces. We also encourage citizens above 45 years of age to take the vaccine,” CM said.
