Meghalaya Govt ordered cement plants to pay new rate of transportation

The Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills District in a press release issued here informs all the Cement Plants in East Jaintia Hills District that in pursuance to the Government Notification wherein the Government has directed all the Regional Transport Authorities (RTAs) in Meghalaya that the fare has been fixed with immediate effect and until further orders. Read with para 15, 16, 17, 20 and 21 contained in the Government Order.

In compliance to the aforesaid Government Notification and Order, all Cement Plants located within the jurisdiction of this District are hereby directed to comply with out deviation from the notified rates.

According to the Order, for Heavy and Medium Goods Vehicles (Diesel), the Minimum Revised Fare for Black Top Road is Rs.7/- per MT per Km where as the Maximum Revised Fare is Rs.11/- per MT per Km. For Graveled Top Road, the Minimum Revised Fare is Rs. 8/- per MT per Km and the Maximum Revised Fare is Rs. 12/- per MT per Km.

The Minimum Revised Fare for Kutcha Road has been fixed at a Minimum of Rs. 10/- per MT per Km and at a Maximum of Rs. 14/- per MT per Km. This order shall come into force with immediate effect.
