Meghalaya Govt recognizes journalists as COVID-19 frontline workers

The Meghalaya government has officially announced its decision to recognize media persons as COVID-19 frontline workers.

“I want to place on record that the state government has decided to recognize media persons as frontline workers of the state,” Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong told reporters after a review meeting held on Thursday. 

He said, “We are thankful to all media persons and we are so proud of you (for your contribution).”
