Meghalaya govt to continue shutdown of educational institutions till April 15

The state government has further extended the closure of all educational institutions in the state to April 15, to prevent outbreak and spread of COVID-19.
“…as precautionary measure to safeguard the citizens of the state, the education department further extends the closure of all educational institutions in the state from April 1 to 15,” Principal Secretary in-charge Education DP Wahlang said in a notification issued here on Monday.
The decision was also in comply with the Government of India lockdown order to prevent the possibility of an outbreak and spread of the COVID-19.
It may be mentioned here that the earlier notification issued on March 16, directing closure of all educational institutions in the state will expire on March 31.
