Meghalaya Govt to fill up over 1000 vacancies in education deptt
The state government will soon start the process of filling up over 1000 vacancies in government schools and colleges across the state.
Informing this on Wednesday, education minister Rakkam A Sangma said, “In the next one month time, we will be calling advertisements for over 1000 plus vacancies in the education department right from higher and technical education, colleges and higher secondary, secondary and primary schools.”
“In the next two-three weeks, we will be putting up advertisements for the recruitment to fill up these vacancies,” he added.
The minister said the government’s decision to start science streams in the five colleges and commerce streams in three colleges, have led to the creation of over 248 posts.
“We will be calling advertisements very soon to ensure these courses start from the next academic session,” he said.
Further, the minister informed that the appointment of the vice chancellor for the Captain Williamson Sangma State University has been completed.
“We want to start some post graduate courses from the next academic session. Accordingly, the university will be calling for recruitment immediately as soon as possible,” he added.
