Meghalaya Govt to upgrade two Schools of Nursing to Colleges of Nursing
In what could be termed as good news to students who intend to take up nursing as their profession, the Meghalaya Government has decided to upgrade two of its School of Nursing to College of Nursing.
The two Schools of Nursing to be upgraded to College of Nursing are the School of Nursing to College of Nursing at Civil Hospital Shillong and the School of Nursing to College of Nursing at Ganesh Das Hospital Shillong.
For upgrading the infrastructure of School of Nursing to College of Nursing at Civil Hospital Shillong, the Govt has earmarked an amount of 5,18.52,000.00 for the construction of Main Building including sanitary installation, water supply, internal electrification, fire alarms & fire extinguishers.
While for expanding the infrastructure of the School of Nursing to College of Nursing at Ganesh Das Hospital, the Government has earmarked Rs. 4,32,58,000.00 for construction of Girls Hostel, Administrative Block, Renovation & Modification of Academic Block and Construction of Chowkidar & Cook Quarter.
