Meghalaya guv meets Shah over MRSSA

Governor, Satya Pal Malik on Tuesday met Union Home Minister Amit Shah to discuss issues concerning the state which include the Meghalaya Residents, Safety and Security (Amendment) Bill, 2020.

Sources informed that Malik has met Shah at his residence in New Delhi. However, the outcome of the meeting is yet to be known.

Earlier, Malik had assured to convince the Centre on the Meghalaya Residents Safety and Security (Amendment) Bill, 2020.

He however maintained that the inner line permit (ILP) was not his agenda since the issue has to be discussed between the central and state government.
