Meghalaya Guv reviews implementation of central schemes in Garo Hills

Governor, Satya Pal Malik held a series of meetings with state government officers to review the implementation of the various central schemes and Prime Minister’s flagship schemes in Garo Hills region.

A statement issued on Friday said in the meeting held with the Commissioner of Division and all deputy commissioners of Garo Hills on Thursday, the governor reviewed important developmental schemes through video conference.

The performance of the five Garo Hills districts in programmes such as MGNREGA, PMAY, NHM, PMJAY MHIS, SSA, PM Jan Dhan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana was extensively reviewed.

He also reviewed the law and order situation in Garo Hills with DIG Western Range and Commissioner of Division.

It said the governor today also reviewed the functioning of the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council with Administrator Dr Vijay Kumar D and others. The construction of Governor House in Tura was also reviewed.
