Meghalaya Guv undergo COVID-19 test, result awaited

Governor, Satya Pal Malik has undergone COVID-19 test after Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma was tested positive on Friday.

Malik had met a delegation led by Sangma at Raj Bhavan on December 9. The issues related to the inner line permit (ILP) and Meghalaya Residents Safety and Security (Amendment) Bill, 2020 were taken up during the meeting.

Sources informed that the Governor has been tested for COVID-19 at 5 pm today hours after news broke about the CM being tested positive. The test result is being awaited.

They also said all the immediate staff of the Governor have also been tested.

Sources further informed that all meetings at the Raj Bhavan have also been cancelled following the incident.
