Meghalaya Home Dept promoted 15 IPS officers in various capacities

The Meghalaya Home Department on Wednesday promoted two Deputy Inspector General of Police namely R.Muthu, IPS(RR:2006) and D.P Marak, IPS to the rank of Inspector General of Police.

R. Muthu, IPS currently on Central deputation, is allowed proforma promotion with effect from the date his immediate junior D.P Marak, IPS(SPS 2006) promoted.

D.P Marak, IPS(SPS:2006), Deputy Inspector General of Police (SB), Shillong, is posted as the Inspector General of Police (SB/Border), Shillong against the existing vacancy.

Meanwhile, the Home Department promoted Dr Raghvendra Kumar M.G, IPS, Ramesh Singh, IPS, and Claudia Anne Lyngwa, IPS(SPS 2010) to the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police.

Dr Raghvendra Kumar M.G, IPS Spl. Superintendent of Police, CID, Shillong, is posted as the Deputy Inspector General of Police (WR), Tura vice Shri C.V.S Reddy, IPS, transferred.

Ramesh Singh, IPS currently on Central deputation, is allowed proforma promotion with effect from the date his immediate junior Claudia Anne Lyngwa, IPS promoted.

Claudia Anne Lyngwa, IPS Commandant, 1st MLP Bn, Mawiong, is posted as the Deputy Inspector General of Police (TAP), Shillong against the existing vacancy.

Further, the Home Department promoted Jerry F.K Marak, IPS to the selection grade of the senior scale and will continue as the Inspector General of Prisons, Shillong.

Jubi G Momin, IPS is promoted to the selection grade of the senior scale and will continue as the Superintendent of Police, Anti Infiltration Directorate, Shillong.

Meanwhile, the Home Department promoted five IPS officers to the Junior Administration Grade of the Senior Scale.

Priyanshu Pandey, IPS currently on Central deputation, is allowed proforma promotion with effect from the date his immediate junior Deepak Kumar Palecha, IPS promoted.

Deepak Kumar Palecha, IPS(RR:2015), on Central deputation, is allowed proforma promotion with effect from the date his immediate junior Herbert G. Lyngdoh, IPS promoted.

Herbert G Lyngdoh, IPS is allowed to continue as the Superintendent of Police, Anti Infiltration Directorate, Shillong.

Mary Gnora T. Sangma, IPS is allowed to continue as the Principal, Police Training School, Umran.

Vivek Syiem, IPS is allowed to continue as the Superintendent of Police, City, East Khasi Hills, Shillong.

Meanwhile the Home Department has promoted three IPS officers to Senior Time Scale of the Senior Scale.

Pawal Swapnil Vasantrao, IPS(RR:2020), Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Sadar, Shillong is promoted and posted as the Commandant, 1st MLP Bn, Mawiong vice Claudia Anne Lyngwa, IPS, promoted.

Pankaj Kumar Rasgania, IPS Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Dadenggre, is promoted and posted as the Superintendent of Police, CID, Shillong vice Dr Raghvenra Kumar M.G, IPS, promoted.

Vikash Varma, IPS Assistant Superintendent of Police, Tura, is promoted and posted as the Superintendent of Police, SCRB, Shillong against the existing vacancy.
