Meghalaya launches National Deworming Day at Mawkdok

The Directorate of Health Services (MCH&FW), Meghalaya in collaboration with the office of the District Medical & Health Officer, East Khasi Hills District organise a programme for State Launch of National Deworming Day on Wednesday at Tirot Sing Memorial Hr. Secondary School, Mawkdok under Sohra Civil Sub Division.

The objective of National Deworming Day is to deworm all preschool and school age children between the ages of 1-19 years through the platform of schools and anganwadi centres in order to improve their overall health, nutritional status, access to education and quality of life.

Dr. B. Mawlong, Jt. Director of Health Services (MCH&FW) Cum SNO- Child Health attended the programme as the Chief Guest.
