Meghalaya logs 11 new Covid cases, 3 deaths
The state on Monday recorded 3 COVID-19 related deaths, taking the number of fatalities to 1,571 even as 11 have tested positive for the virus and the total active cases now stand at 343.
The fresh cases include 5 from East Khasi Hills, 3 East Jaintia Hills, 2 Ri Bhoi and 1 East Garo Hills.
A total of 37 persons have recovered from the viral infection.
So far, the state has detected a total of 93,304 COVID-19 cases out of which 343 are active cases, 91,390 recovered and 1,571 deaths.
East Khasi Hills has the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 145 followed by West Garo Hills 54, Ri Bhoi 26, West Jaintia Hills 36, North Garo Hills 13, Eastern West Khasi Hills 11, West Khasi Hills 11, South West Garo Hills 14, East Jaintia Hills 12, East Garo Hills 9, South West Khasi Hills 7 and South Garo Hills 5.
