Meghalaya notified uniform cut off age for employment
The Governor of Meghalaya has notified that persons above the age of 70 (seventy) years shall not be employed or re-employed in the State Government.
An official notification informed that this is to ensure that the uniform cut-off age is followed in cases of re-employment or employment.
The notification said all Departments/agencies of the State Government like Societies, Corporations who have persons who have been employed or re-employed and are above the age of 70 (seventy) years should henceforth be terminated.

Very Good, But even politicians should retire and should not be allowed to contest elections on attaining the age of 70 years
