Meghalaya police arrest HNLC’s PSO Storgy Lyngdoh from Shillong

Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC)’s personal security officer (PSO) Storgy Lyngdoh was arrested from Shillong on Saturday morning, police said.

Acting on a tip off, an operation team of East Khasi Hills apprehended the 41 year old HNLC cadre from his residence at Mawlynrei, Khliehshnong Block-C, Shillong, they said.

From his possession, one mobile phone along with one Bangladesh Banglalink  SIM card and one Indian Airtel SIM card and one 1GB SD memory card have been recovered.

Police said that there are reports of him being invovled in activities such as extortion, regrouping, and mobilizing support of symphathizers for anti-national and violent causes.

It may be mentioned here that Lyngdoh was among the three PSOs, who accompanied the HNLC leaders during the peace talks with the government last year.
