Meghalaya Police cancels PET, announces revised schedule
The Meghalaya Police has cancelled the ongoing Physical Efficiency Test (PET) due to technical issues encountered at the 1st MLP Battalion in Mawiong and the 4th MLP Battalion in Sohpian.
Dalton P Marak, IPS, Inspector General of Police (SB/Bdr.) Cum Chairman of the Central Recruitment Board (CRB), said in a press release that new dates have been scheduled to ensure fairness to all candidates.
The fresh PET will be conducted for all candidates, including those who appeared in the earlier test held from November 18 to December 21, 2024. The revised schedule begins at the 3rd MLP Battalion in Sahbsein, Jowai, from December 13 to December 20, 2024. It will then be conducted at the 5th MLP Battalion in Samanda, Williamnagar, and the 4th MLP Battalion in Sohpian, Nongstoin, from January 6 to January 11, 2025. The final phase will take place at the 1st MLP Battalion in Mawiong, Shillong, and the 2nd MLP Battalion in Goeragre, Tura, from January 13 to February 15, 2025.
Admit cards for candidates appearing at the Jowai PET center will be available for download from December 6, 2024, on the official Meghalaya Police website. Admit cards for other centers can be downloaded starting December 16, 2024. Candidates are urged to verify their details before downloading the admit cards, and an option to edit or correct information will be available online.
Candidates requesting a change in their PET date must submit an application to the Member Secretary, Central Recruitment Board, before the start of the test.
