Meghalaya Police recovered huge amount anti-Armour ammunitions

In a major breakthrough for West Garo Hills Police on Thursday evening recovered Three boxes containing anti-Armour ammunitions numbering 254 kept hidden in the jungle near Naragre Village Forest Reserve, under Damalgre Police Station, South West Garo Hills.

A team headed by Dy. SP (HQ), West Garo Hills did the recovery and seizure based on credible information that 3 (Three) boxes of high grade ammunitions are buried near Upper Damalgre, between WGH/SWGH jurisdiction. The seized ammunitions along with FIR handed over to OC Damalgre PS, with information to SP SWGH, for further necessary action.

Further sources are being developed and ops continued to find out, search and recover any such hidden arms and ammunitions; West Garo Hills Police appeals to public to share any such inputs or information about hidden/buried arms ammunitions confidentially with District Police, for recovery of the same in the interest of maintaining Law and Order, Peace and preventing the same from getting into the hands of miscreants, and anti-social elements.
