Meghalaya Police to dispose off unidentified male body in West Garo Hills if still unclaimed
The Meghalaya Police on Sunday informed that a male body lying unclaimed in morgue room of Tura Civil Hospital will be disposed off if no one come forward to claim the body within the next few days.
Description of the unidentified male person is 18-25 years Face – Oval Hair – Curly and Short. Height – 5 feet Build – Medium, Complexion – Dark, Wearing apparels – Blue long track pant, pink sweat shirt and grey color T-shirt.
Acccording to a press release, police said on 6th of this month at about 01:15 AM, the villagers of Rengrampara brought one unknown person suspected to be non-tribal (Bangladeshi national) in an unconscious condition and reported that the said person was found lying unconscious on the roadside of the village.
Police said that the unidentified person was sent to Dalu CHC for medical treatment and the attending Medical Officer referred the person to Tura Civil Hospital for better medical treatment.
However after two days, he succumbed to his ailments at Tura Civil Hospital.
Accordingly, inquest over the dead body was held and upon completion of Post Mortem and observance of all legal formalities, the dead body is kept at Morgue Room, Tura Civil Hospital.
Police said any claimants for the said dead body may please contact Tura Civil Hospital or following contact nos. (1) 6009308862 CI-cum-OC Dalu PS (2) 8837423053 Police Control Room, Tura, within 72 (seventy-two) hours.
