Meghalaya records 11 new COVID cases
The state on Sunday recorded 11 new COVID-19 cases taking the total active cases to 263.
Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War said 8 cases have been detected in East Khasi Hills, 2 West Garo Hills and 1 East Garo Hills.
Dr War also informed that 25 persons have recovered from the viral infection.
Of these, 22 are from East Khasi Hills, 2 West Garo Hills and 1 West Khasi Hills.
He said there have been zero COVID-19 deaths in the state.
So far, the state has detected a total of 84,024 COVID-19 cases out of which 263 are active cases, 82,299 recovered and 1,462 deaths.
East Khasi Hills has the highest active COVID-19 cases with 189 followed by West Garo Hills 24 and West Khasi Hills with 17 cases.
There are 15 in Ri Bhoi, 8 East Garo Hills, 4 West Jaintia Hills, 4 East Jaintia Hills, 1 South West Garo Hills and 1 South Garo Hills.
