Meghalaya records 11 new COVID cases, 27 recoveries
The state has recorded 11 new COVID-19 cases and 27 recoveries on Thursday.
Director of Health Services (MI), Dr Aman War said the new cases included 8 in East Khasi Hills district, 1 North Garo Hills district, 1 West Jaintia Hills district and 1 West Khasi Hills district.
He informed that 27 more persons have also recovered from COVID-19, taking the number of recoveries from the viral infection to 13,257.
The new recoveries recorded today include 15 from East Khasi Hills, 10 Ri Bhoi, 1 East Garo Hills and 1 West Khasi Hills.
So far, the state has detected a total of 13,538 COVID-19 cases out of which 138 are active cases, 13,257 recovered and 141 deaths.
East Khasi Hills has 110 active cases, Ri Bhoi 3, West Jaintia Hills 10, West Garo Hills 8, West Khasi Hills 3, East Jaintia Hills 2 and North Garo Hills 2.
On the other hand, of the 3,03,590 persons who have tested for COVID-19 in the state as on date, 2,90,054 were tested negative for the virus even as 47 persons are in institutional quarantine and 82 under home quarantine.
There are 80,504 entrants from outside the state.
