Meghalaya records 20 new COVID-19 cases, 24 recoveries
The state has recorded 20 new COVID-19 cases and 24 recoveries on Monday.
Director of Health Services (MI), Dr Aman War said the new cases included 17 in East Khasi Hills district, 1 East Jaintia Hills district, 1 West Jaintia Hills district and 1 West Khasi Hills district.
He informed that twenty-four patients who recovered from the viral infection include 19 from East Khasi Hills, 3 West Garo Hills and 2 West Khasi Hills.
So far, the state has detected a total of 13,631 COVID-19 cases out of which 151 are active cases, 13,337 recovered and 143 deaths.
East Khasi Hills has 111 active cases, West Jaintia Hills 26, West Garo Hills 2, North Garo Hills 4, West Khasi Hills 2, Ri Bhoi 3 and East Jaintia Hills 2.
On the other hand, of the 3,09,055 persons who have tested for COVID-19 in the state as on date, 2,95,424 were tested negative for the virus even as 43 persons are in institutional quarantine and 103 under home quarantine.
There are 81,704 entrants from outside the state.
