Meghalaya records 210 new Covid cases, 4 deaths
The state on Monday recorded 4 more COVID-19 related deaths, mounting the number of fatalities to 1,526 even as 210 have tested positive for the virus, taking the total active cases to 2,313.
Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War said two deaths were reported from East Khasi Hills and 1 each from Ri Bhoi and West Garo Hills.
Dr War also informed of the 210 new cases, 124 were detected in East Khasi Hills, 32 West Garo Hills, 12 Ri Bhoi, 3 South Garo Hills, 7 West Jaintia Hills, 4 Eastern West Khasi Hills, 3 South West Khasi Hills, 13 South West Garo Hills, 6 East Garo Hills and 4 West Khasi Hills.
He said that 246 persons have recovered from the viral infection.
So far, the state has detected a total of 91,094 COVID-19 cases out of which 2,313 are active cases, 87,255 recovered and 1,526 deaths.
East Khasi Hills has the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 1,137 followed by West Garo Hills 521, Ri Bhoi 170, West Jaintia Hills 91, South West Garo Hills 88, South West Khasi Hills 57, Eastern West Khasi Hills 56, South Garo Hills,North Garo Hills 53, 40 East Jaintia Hills 34, West Khasi Hills 37 and East Garo Hills 29.
