Meghalaya records 32 new COVID-19 cases, 24 recoveries
The state has recorded 34 new COVID-19 cases and 24 recoveries on Saturday.
Director of Health Services (MI), Dr Aman War said the new cases included 19 in East Khasi Hills district, 14 in West Jaintia Hills district and 1 in North Garo Hills district.
He also informed that those tested positive also include three health workers, two armed force/paramilitary force personnel and 1 police personnel.
He informed that twenty-four patients who recovered from the viral infection include 22 from East Khasi Hills, 1 West Garo Hills and 1 West Jaintia Hills.
So far, the state has detected a total of 13,592 COVID-19 cases out of which 163 are active cases, 13,286 recovered and 143 deaths.
East Khasi Hills has 122 active cases, West Jaintia Hills 23, West Garo Hills 6, North Garo Hills 4, West Khasi Hills 3, Ri Bhoi 3 and East Jaintia Hills 1.
On the other hand, of the 3,06,472 persons who have tested for COVID-19 in the state as on date, 2,92,880 were tested negative for the virus even as 43 persons are in institutional quarantine and 110 under home quarantine.
There are 81,083 entrants from outside the state.
