Meghalaya records 362 new Covid cases, 4 deaths
Four more persons have succumbed to the COVID-19 infection, mounting the number of fatalities to 1,522 even as 362 have tested positive for the virus, taking the total active cases to 2,353.
Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War said two deaths were reported from East Khasi Hills and 1 each from Eastern West Khasi Hills and West Jaintia Hills.
Dr War also informed of the 362 new cases, 149 were detected in East Khasi Hills, 133 West Garo Hills, 20 Ri Bhoi, 10 North Garo Hills, 5 South Garo Hills, 8 West Jaintia Hills, 4 Eastern West Khasi Hills, 10 South West Khasi Hills, 13 South West Garo Hills, 6 East Garo Hills and 1 West Khasi Hills.
He said that 424 persons have recovered from the viral infection.
So far, the state has detected a total of 90,884 COVID-19 cases out of which 2,353 are active cases, 87,009 recovered and 1,522 deaths.
East Khasi Hills has the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 1,198 followed by West Garo Hills 519, Ri Bhoi 177, West Jaintia Hills 84, North Garo Hills 60, South West Garo Hills 80, South West Khasi Hills 56, Eastern West Khasi Hills 52, East Jaintia Hills 28, West Khasi Hills 35, South Garo Hills 37 and East Garo Hills 27.
