Meghalaya records 76 new COVID-19 cases
The state on Sunday recorded 76 new COVID-19 cases, taking the total active cases to 394.
Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War said 66 cases were detected from East Khasi Hills district, 5 West Garo Hills, 3 Ri Bhoi and 1 each from East Garo Hills and East Jaintia Hills.
Dr War also informed that 10 persons have recovered from the viral infection in East Khasi Hills.
So far, the state has detected a total of 85,234 COVID-19 cases out of which 394 are active cases, 83,355 recovered and 1,485 deaths.
East Khasi Hills has the highest number of COVID-19 cases with 321 followed by West Garo Hills 45, Ri Bhoi 12, West Jaintia Hills 7, South West Khasi Hills 3, East Jaintia Hills 3 and 1 each from North Garo Hills, West Khasi Hills and East Garo Hills.
