Meghalaya records 8 new COVID-19 cases, 7 recoveries
The state has recorded 8 new COVID-19 cases and 7 recoveries on Thursday.
Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War said the eight new cases are all from East Khasi Hills district.
He said 7 patients who recovered from the viral infection include 6 from East Khasi Hills and 1 from West Khasi Hills.
So far, the state has detected a total of 13,749 COVID-19 cases out of which 90 are active cases, 13,513 recovered and 146 deaths.
East Khasi Hills has 80 active cases, East Jaintia Hills 3, Ri Bhoi 3, West Khasi Hills 2, South West Garo Hills 1 and West Garo Hills 1.
On the other hand, of the 3,32,031 persons who have tested for COVID-19 in the state as on date, 3,18,282 were tested negative for the virus even as 16 persons are in institutional quarantine and 72 under home quarantine.
There are 87,046 entrants from outside the state.
