Meghalaya records zero COVID-19 deaths
The state on Friday reported no new COVID-19 death in 24 hours and the total number of deaths stood at 1,404 in the state.
Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War said the state has detected 155 new COVID-19 cases.
These include 90 in East Khasi Hills, 27 West Jaintia Hills, 26 West Khasi Hills, 3 West Garo Hills, 3 South West Khasi Hills, 2 South West Garo Hills and 1 South Garo Hills.
Dr War also informed that 108 persons have recovered from the viral infection.
Of these, 68 are from East Khasi Hills, 20 West Khasi Hills, 8 Ri Bhoi, 4 West Jaintia Hills, 3 West Garo Hills and 1 each in East Garo Hills, East Jaintia Hills, South Garo Hills, South West Garo Hills and South West Khasi Hills.
So far, the state has detected a total of 81,445 COVID-19 cases out of which 1,666 are active cases, 78,375 recovered and 1,404 deaths.
With 805 active COVID-19 cases, East Khasi Hills, that includes state capital Shillong, is the worst affected district in the state, followed by West Khasi Hills with 399 cases and West Jaintia Hills, 186.
There are 179 in Ri Bhoi, 39 South West Khasi Hills, 28 West Garo Hills, 16 East Jaintia Hills, 6 South West Garo Hills, 4 East Garo Hills, 3 North Garo Hills and 1 South Garo Hills.
