Meghalaya reports 11 new COVID-19 cases, 18 recovery
Eleven more persons have been tested positive for coronavirus while 18 have recovered from the disease on Tuesday.
Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War said the eleven new cases include nine in East Khasi Hills of which five are civilians, two Border Security Force (BSF) troopers, and two armed forces personnel, one in Ri Bhoi and one in West Jaintia Hills.
With this, he said the number of active cases in the state is at 626.
Dr War also informed that 18 patients including 12 civilians, 5 BSF troopers and 1 armed forces personnel have recovered from the infection taking the total recoveries in the state to 282.
Of 626, he said East Khasi Hills has a total of 509 active cases that include 226 civilians, 223 BSF and 60 armed forces personnel.
There are 56 cases in Ri Bhoi, 17 in East Jaintia Hills, 17 in West Garo Hills, 16 in West Jaintia Hills, 5 in West Khasi Hills, 4 in South West Garo Hills and 2 in South Garo Hills.

I would like to request your reporters to kindly get more stats regarding the Civilian Cluster- How many are Returnees and how many are High/Low Risk Contacts? The same could be done for other clusters but the Civilian Cluster might be the most effective in giving us the real picture of the situation.
