Meghalaya reports 11 new COVID-19 cases, 27 recovery
Eleven more persons have tested positive for COVID-19 while twenty-seven patients have recovered on Friday. With this, the total number of active cases in the state stands at 624.
Director of Health Services (MI), Dr Aman War said the new cases include 4 BSF troopers and 6 civilians in East Khasi Hills district and one civilian in South West Garo Hills district.
He also informed that 27 more patients have recovered from the infection today taking the total recoveries in the state to 574. The new recovered cases include 22 civilians, 1 Armed Forces, and 1 BSF in East Khasi Hills, 2 BSF in West Garo Hills and a civilian in East Jaintia Hills.
Of the 624 active cases in the state, Dr War said East Khasi Hills has 422 cases of which 262 are civilians, 89 are BSF troopers and 71 are Armed Forces personnel.
There are 83 cases in Ri Bhoi, 82 in West Garo Hills, 16 in West Jaintia Hills, 3 in South West Garo Hills, 3 in South Garo Hills, 6 in North Garo Hills, 5 in East Jaintia Hills, 3 in West Khasi Hills and 1 in South West Khasi Hills.
