Meghalaya reports 12 new COVID-19 cases, 4 recoveries
Twelve more persons have tested positive for COVID-19, taking the total active cases in the state to 1,141.
Director of Health Services (MI), Dr Aman War said 10, including 9 from armed forces personnel and a civilian, were detected from East Khasi Hills district and two civilians from Ri Bhoi district.
He also informed that 4 more persons, including 2 from East Jaintia Hills, one each from West Jaintia Hills and West Khasi Hills, have recovered from the infection taking the total recoveries in the state to 780.
Of the total active cases in the state, he said East Khasi Hills has 733 cases that include 276 Armed Forces/paramilitary forces and 457 civilians, 43 in West Khasi Hills, 96 in Ri Bhoi, 1 in South West Garo Hills, 2 in West Jaintia Hills, 12 in East Jaintia Hills, 223 in West Garo Hills, 4 in South West Garo Hills, 12 in South Garo Hills, 3 in East Garo Hills and 12 in North Garo Hills.
