Meghalaya reports 23 fresh COVID-19 cases, tally at 669
Twenty-three more persons have been tested positive for coronavirus on Sunday taking the total number of active cases in the state to 555.
Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War said the new cases include 9 in East Khasi Hills (2 Air Force, 7 civilians), 8 in Ri Bhoi (5 Air Force, 3 civilians), 3 in West Khasi Hills, 1 in East Jaintia Hills, 1 in West Jaintia Hills and 1 in North Garo Hills.
He said the total active cases has increased to 555 of which 460 are in East Khasi Hills (272 BSF, 165 civilians, 23 Armed Forces).
There are 49 in Ri Bhoi, 15 in West Garo Hills, 10 in West Jaintia Hills, 9 in East Jaintia Hills, 4 in South West Garo Hills, 3 in West Khasi Hills, 2 in South Garo Hills, 2 in North Garo Hills and 1 in East Garo Hills.
Dr War also informed that another 15 including 14 BSF troopers and a civilian have recovered from the infection taking the total recoveries to 109.
Meanwhile, the state has recorded a total of 669 positive cases including five persons who succumbed to the dreaded disease.
