Meghalaya reports 49 new COVID-19 cases, 9 recoveries
Forty-nine more persons have tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday taking the total active cases in the state to 806.
Director of Health Services (MI), Dr Aman War said 47, including 30 civilians and 17 Border Security Force (BSF) troopers were detected from East Khasi Hills district while two civilians from North Garo Hills district.
He also informed that nine more persons, including eight civilians from Ri Bhoi district and one from East Khasi Hills have also recovered from the infection today taking the total recoveries in the state to 694.
Of the 806 active cases in the state, East Khasi Hills has 492 cases that include 318 civilians, 97 BSF and 77 armed forces, 189 in West Garo Hills, 95 in Ri Bhoi, 10 in North Garo Hills, 6 in East Jaintia Hills, 4 in West Jaintia Hills, 3 in West Khasi Hills, 4 in South West Garo Hills, 2 in South Garo Hills and 1 in South West Khasi Hills.
