Meghalaya reports 73 new COVID-19 cases, tally of active cases rises to 1287
Seventy-three more persons have tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday morning, taking the total active cases in the state to 1287.
Director of Health Services (MI), Dr Aman War said 35, including 33 civilian and 2 Armed Forces were detected from East Khasi Hills district, 32 civilians from East Garo Hills district, 3 from North Garo Hills district, 2 from East Jaintia Hills district and 1 from West Khasi Hills district.
He also informed 7 more persons, all are civilians from East Khasi Hills, have recovered from the viral infection today taking the total recoveries in the state to 906.
Of the total active cases in the state, East Khasi Hills has 874 cases that include 590 civilians and 284 from the armed forces and paramilitary forces, 187 in West Garo Hills, 71 in East Garo Hills, 68 in Ri Bhoi, 44 in West Khasi Hills,14 in East Jaintia Hills, 13 in North Garo Hills, 11 in South Garo Hills, 3 in South West Garo Hills and 2 in West Jaintia Hills.
