Meghalaya reports zero virus death
The state on Monday reported no new COVID-19 death in 24 hours and the total number of deaths stood at 1,329 in the state.
Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War informed that the state has also detected 123 new cases.
These include 93 in East Khasi Hills, 9 West Khasi Hills, 4 West Garo Hills, 8 Ri Bhoi, 3 West Jaintia Hills, 1 East Garo Hills, 0 North Garo Hills, 4 East Jaintia Hills, 0 South Garo Hills, 1 South West Khasi Hills and 0 South West Garo Hills.
Dr War also informed that 253 persons have recovered from the viral infection.
Of these, 166 East Khasi Hills, 11 West Garo Hills, 7 West Jaintia Hills, 16 West Khasi Hills, 3 East Garo Hills, 0 North Garo Hills, 0 South Garo Hills, 2 South West Garo Hills, 11 East Jaintia Hills, 20 Ri Bhoi and 17 South West Khasi Hills.
So far, the state has detected a total of 77,144 COVID-19 cases out of which 2,104 are active cases, 73,711 recovered and 1,329 deaths.
With 1,024 active COVID-19 cases, East Khasi Hills, that includes state capital Shillong, is the worst affected district in the state, followed by West Khasi Hills with 431 cases and Ri Bhoi with 189.
There are 183 in West Jaintia Hills, 75 West Garo Hills, 125 South West Khasi Hills, 39 East Jaintia Hills, 5 North Garo Hills, 19 East Garo Hills, 9 South West Garo Hills and 5 South Garo Hills.
