Meghalaya responds to the second Covid-19 wave by ramping up vaccination drive
Government of Meghalaya has decided to ramp up its vaccination campaign like it’s a battle in efforts to handle the rapid increase of Covid-19 cases during this second wave.
The goal, according to Chief Minister Conard K Sangma, is that the state plans to vaccinate all 6.5 lakh of its citizens over the age of 45 against Covid-19 by next month. So far 1.88 lakh Covid-19 jabs have been administered.
Chief Minister, Conrad Sangma, in a tweet also emphasized the importance of taking a targeted approach, identifying hotspots, and completing the Phase 2 vaccination drive aggressively in a meeting with all Deputy Commissioners of every district.
