Meghalaya Speaker, Deputy Speaker attends 10th CPA India Region Conference in New Delhi

Meghalaya Speaker Thomas A Sangma and Deputy Speaker Timothy D. Shira attended the 10th Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) India Region Conference held at Lok Sabha, New Delhi on Tuesday. 

The conference focused on ‘The Role of Legislative Bodies in the Attainment of Sustainable and Inclusive Development.’

The Speaker Thomas A. Sangma, shared that this was his third time attending the CPA Conference. He highlighted the value of such conferences, stating that they provide deep insights into legislative procedures, which are sometimes overlooked or difficult to interpret.

He emphasized that the CPA Conference has greatly contributed to enhancing his understanding and experience, enabling him to be more effective in conducting and managing legislative affairs in the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly.
