Meghalaya Speed Skating Championship draws over 50 participants across age groups
The Meghalaya Speed Skating Association concluded the 2nd Meghalaya Open Speed Skating Championship on December 16 in collaboration with St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School and the Meghalaya Roll Ball Association at St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School ground.
The event attracted over 50 participants from various age groups, districts, and schools. It showcased the participants’ speed and skill levels, fostering a spirit of healthy competition and promoting the sport in the region.
Suklang Dkhar president of the Meghalaya Speed Skating Association and General Secretary of the Meghalaya Roll Ball Association, expressed satisfaction with the event’s success and emphasized the commitment to further developing speed skating in Meghalaya.
Winners in each category were honoured with medals and certificates, while the championship overall celebrated sportsmanship and dedication. This left participants and spectators eager for the continued growth of speed skating and Roll Ball in the community.
The President of the Meghalaya Roll Ball Association also graced the event with their presence. The Association extends its gratitude to all members, the Principal of St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School, parents, and participants for the grand success of the event.
