Meghalaya State NEET UG 2024 mop-up and stray vacancy counselling for PA Sangma International Medical College & Hospital
The Health & Family Welfare Department of the Government of Meghalaya has issued a notification regarding the commencement of the online mop-up and stray vacancy round for NEET UG 2024 counselling. This round specifically pertains to the P.A. Sangma International Medical College & Hospital in Baridua, covering admissions for State Quota, Management Quota, and NRI Quota seats.
The counselling process begin on October 28, 2024, at 4:00 PM, and will continue until October 29, 2024, at 5:00 PM. The initiative is being conducted under the aegis of the Meghalaya State Counselling Authority (MSCA).
Available Seats
The total number of seats available for this round is 150, distributed as follows:
State Quota: 64 seats
Management Quota: 63 seats
NRI Quota: 23 seats
Tuition Fees Structure
The tuition fees for the various quotas are set as follows:
State Quota: Rs 4,95,000 per year
Management Quota: Rs 18,00,000 per year
NRI Quota: USD 2,00,000 for the entire course
Fees can be deposited through Demand Draft (DD), RTGS, or NEFT in favor of “P.A. Sangma International Medical College & Hospital.”
Eligibility Criteria
A. State Government Quota
Domicile Requirement: Candidates must be residents of Meghalaya.
Academic Requirements:
Candidates must have passed their 2nd PUC or 12th Standard or an equivalent exam with English as one of the subjects.
A minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology is required (40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates).
Candidates must qualify in UG-NEET 2024 and will be admitted based on their NEET All India Rank.
B. Management Quota
Nationality Requirement: Open to Indian citizens.
Academic Requirements:
Candidates must have completed their 2nd PUC or 12th Standard or an equivalent exam with English as one of the languages.
A minimum of 50% in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology is required (40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates).
Qualification in UG-NEET 2024 is mandatory, with admissions based on NEET All India Rank.
C. NRI Quota
Eligibility Categories:
NRIs or their children who originally belong to Meghalaya.
NRIs or their children from other Indian states.
Definition of NRI: Non-Resident Indians are persons of Indian origin holding either an Indian or a foreign passport who are settled outside India for employment, business, or other purposes suggesting an indefinite stay abroad.
Required Documents: Relevant documents such as Foreign Passport, Green Card, or Permanent Resident Card, and proof of residency in a foreign country or OCI/PIO Card.
Academic Requirements:
Candidates must have passed the 2nd PUC or 12th Standard or an equivalent exam approved by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), with English as one of the languages.
A minimum of 50% in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology is required (40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates).
Candidates must qualify in UG-NEET 2024, with admissions based on NEET All India Rank.
D. Additional Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must be at least 17 years old by December 31 of the year in which admission is sought.
Application Process and Important Dates
Eligible candidates must complete their application online via the MSCA counselling portal at www.mscama.in.
Counselling Schedule:
Online Application Dates: October 28, 2024, to October 29, 2024.
Merit List Publication and Allotment Letter Download: October 30, 2024.
Institute Reporting: Candidates must report to the institute with original documents and applicable fees on October 31, 2024.
Stray Vacancy Allotment (If Necessary): A stray vacancy merit list will be released on November 2, 2024.
Final Reporting: Candidates selected in the stray vacancy round must report to the institute to finalize their admission by November 3, 2024.
