Meghalaya’s HK Singh Memorial School and Assam Rifle Public School ready for Subroto Cup

The Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs organized a send-off ceremony on Tuesday for the Meghalaya Football Team participating in the 62nd edition of the Subroto Cup International Football Tournament in the Under-14 and Under-17 Boys categories, to be held in Bengaluru and New Delhi.

HK Singh Memorial Secondary School, Jowai will represent the state in the Under-14 Boys category, while the Assam Rifle Public School, East Khasi Hills in the Under-17 Boys category

The Under-14 tournament will be held in Bengaluru from October 1 to 10, and the Under-17 tournament will be held in New Delhi from October 14 to 23.

The send-off ceremony was held in the conference room of the sports department and was attended by P.B. War Nongbri, Assistant Director of Sports & Youth Affairs, Government of Meghalaya, Oral Mawthoh, District Sports Officer, East Khasi Hills District, Shri K. Passah, Assistant Director of Sports & Youth Affairs, Government of Meghalaya, along with teachers from the schools.”
