MHRC gives 15 days to DGP to submit action taken report on killing of daily wager in Shillong

The Meghalaya Human Rights Commission (MHRC) has taken suo motu cognizance pertaining to the killing of daily wager in the city on Wednesday.

The Commission has issued a notice to the Director General of Police, Meghalaya to submit an action taken report within 15 days, a press release said on Friday.

On April 10, a labourer succumbed to his injuries after he along with two others were assaulted by miscreants at Mawlai Mawroh.
