Miscreants bomb Khliehriat police reserve

A boundary wall of the police reserve building at Khliehriat, the district headquater of East Jaintia Hills district was destroyed following a blast triggered by miscreants on Wednesday morning 
The bomb blast incident took place at around 1.30 am.

While confirming the incident, Deputy Commissioner E Kharmalki said the matter is under investigation and a suo moto case will be taken up by the police. 
He informed that there was no casualty reported during the incident. 

Asked, the DC said the wall of the police reserve was destroyed in the explosion that was carried out by unknown miscreants. According to him, whether there is involvement of any militant group, that is yet to be known.

Meanwhile, police are collecting evidences at place of occurrence and are conducting checking on vehicles.
