Mizoram Police set up Child Friendly Corner in Saitual Police Station

Mizoram police have felt on the need to provide child-friendly atmosphere in Police Station premises as to make children more comfortable when they are brought to the premises.

They have come out with a noble idea of creating child friendly rooms/ corners in all our Police Stations, despite severe constraints of space.

The renovation of Child Friendly Corner/ Room at Saitual Police Station was done in collaboration with District Child Protection Unit, Saitual, recently.

The room was officially opened today by SP Saitual, in the presence of District Child Protection Officer (DCPO) and members of Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) & Child Welfare Committee (CWC) of Saitual District.

Such Child Friendly Corners/ rooms have been established as per the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Model Rules 2016.
