MLA scheme increased to Rs 2.5 crore

Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Thursday informed that the government has increased the MLA scheme to Rs 2.5 crore from Rs 2 crore.

Replying on the budget discussion in the Assembly, Sangma also said that Rs 25 lakh was also sanctioned to each of the 60 MLAs as COVID-19 relief.

“We have also released the MLA scheme for the year 2019-20 in full to all the legislators,” he said. The CM also assured to examine on the request made by members to make the scheme more flexible.
